Please HELP!?

Hello, I owe 4 of 6 credit cards money. I haven't been able to make the min. payment and now one of then is suing me for $1600. The court date is at the end of feb. Can I call them to try to work it out or is it too late for that? I'm only 19 and got myself into this horrible mess and I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it without borrowing more money or consolidating my debt. Please help! My total debt is under $4,000.
