College winter break?

id say block out all light to stop algae growth but then your bulbs arnt going to grow.you SHOULD NOT add algae eaters as they still need a filter and heater and are more often then not too big for a 5 gallon tank basicly i think you need to rethink having a tank if they wont let you leave it on nd you have to go away for breaks because everything will just die everytime you go on break!
