Why isn't the three state solution discussed more often?

I'm Canadian, and it puzzles me why this solution doesn't get more publicity. If the Gaza Strip is consolidated with Egypt, and the West Bank with Jordan, then the idea of "Palestine" would no longer exist. Egypt and Jordan already have peace treaties with Israel, and it's unlikely they would demand more land. There would be no need for any sort of superhighway connecting the two territories; Hamas and the PFLP would be dealt with by the Egyptian and Jordanian governments. And finally, the two areas would be economically viable, as it is extremely unlikely that an independent Palestine would be able to support itself without unending outside istance.
